Legend has it that before this world came to be known as Bloody Souls, it was a beautiful world with life blossoming everywhere. It was rumored that no evil had ever touched the land before, and that was its downfall. The light ruler of dragons, Wencelo, and his queen, Brinnia, were the most respected royalty of all the rulers then. It was he who had lived for more than a century in a place where the dragons had come from, a place they called Home, but they never wanted to return there. Brinnia was the wisest of any creature. She counseled all those who needed it. She was selfless, and her position became the Sacrifice, not Queen. Over the centuries and more, some have honored the position of Sacrifice, and others have not, but the greatest was Brinnia. But, alas! A descendant of Brinnia's lineage was whisked away from her mother, to be raised in exile and darkness. The task of the Light dragons is to find the dragoness, now thirty-four years old, and restore her to her rightful place as Sacrifice.
The Dark dragons liked this not at all, that the Light dragons were famed and they were kept in miserable concealment. The one and only ruler of the dark dragons in Brinnia's time was Vargok. He took no Queen, just seduced dragonesses until one produced a dragonette worthy enough to become heir to his throne. No females have ever been chosen to be an heir to the Dark throne. Orthios was raised the same way, and got an heir the same way as well. And so it went until, when Rosoff was King, ordered the heiress to the Sacrifice Throne stolen. He got the little dragoness as he wanted, and named her Salthinias. He had not gotten a heir yet, so he raised Salthinias as his own get. Thirty-four years later, a malicious little dragoness had taken the throne, and was doing everything in her power to keep the throne to herself. She had not taken a king, and she tried everything from guile to more unsubtle devices to control her land. Salthinias would have to challenge Matafleur to full on combat, wit, magic, and physical fighting at the same time.
But that is in far the future. The wolves have their own problems. The Dark wolves, after centuries of ignoring their Light cousins, have suddenly declared war on them for no other reason then hatred! They have given the Light wolves only a year to prepare, and seven months have passed already. In the remaining five months, the Light wolves are beginning to feel the clawing hand of desperation, while the Darks lounge and taunt them. The Light wolves have a limited amount of everything. Assassins, warriors, healers, and clerics. The Dark wolves have a boundless source of their foul minions. With the war just five months off, the Light King and Queen, Rahkel and Annrhia, are getting nervous as the Dark King and Queen, Parneh and Zelnha let their smirks become wider. King Rahkel and Queen Annrhia protect their three young pups and their only heirs from danger. King Parneh and Queen Zelnha have commanded that their two heirs take the place as general for their two huge military divisions. They are just as skilled and cunning as they wicked parents, and they have no fear of the Light wolves.
And the unicorns are not just sitting back and watching. Well, at least they aren't now. They laid dormant for over a century, watching and making plans. Two of them, actually. The Dark unicorns, contemptuous of the Lights, have not a care for the other races on Bloody Souls. And while the Lights prepare to help both the Light factions of the two races, The Darks wreak havoc, ambushing embassies on their way to the realms of Dragons and Wolves to offer their help, The King of the Lights, Murkali, is getting frustrated. Very frustrated. He has declared war upon the Dark unicorns, stopping most of the negotiations. They are training now, most of the Lights eager to get this over and done with.
Now it is your choice. Become a dragon, wolf, or unicorn, and help only one side. 'Tis up to you.
