The large well muscled, white-and-blue Unicorn stallion marched steadily through the golden sands of Golden Beach. Sarcastically, he compared the shimmering sand to his life. Once his life had been so grand, so bright. But that was before he had commited the Sin. And now he had every power, but was unable to end his life as he so dearly wanted to. Now his life was as dull and dark as the choppy waters of Golden Beach. Now he had to deal with pathetic mortals who did not, could not understand his plight. The few exceptionally beautiful mares that he found withered away like old roses before his ageless mask. Infuriated, Atlak heaved his heavy body skyward, emitting an ear-shattering scream that broke the silence. [/sup]

Ears pricked forward as the peaceful silence was broken. Violet eyes gazed around to see what the source was and landed on a large unicorn a few yards down. Herlew had been walking along the beach, procrastinating his meeting with Murkali as long as he could. Curiosity got the best of him and he wandered down to the loner. Reaching him, he stopped a few feet and gave a respectful bow, then stood up right, speaking. "I am Herlew, might I be honored to learn your calling?" Herlew pawed at the shifting sand as he waited for a reply.

Atlak came crashing down, plumes of golden sand scattering from his ivory hooves. The two, large, glittering feathered wings on his shoulders twitched as he eyed this mortal unicorn. Shaking his white forelock out of his sky blue eyes, he calmed himself. Bitter resentment and ugly jealousy reared their heads at the sight of him. Angrily, he shoved them down. Calmly, if not graciously, he replied, "I am called Atlak." He knew who this mortal was. Herlew was the messenger between both the Lights and Darks. But he was not a neutral. Oh, no. There were only three Neutrals in this world, and they were IceFyre, the wolf Sinner, Chaine, the dragon Sinner, and himself, the unicorn Sinner. As if the utterance of his name had been a summons, a strong wind blew and carried the the scents of IceFyre and Chaine. Atlak shivered at the forboding thoughts that suddenly assaulted his mind. All three of the Prophets together was not a good thing.
IceFyre padded easily through the sands of Golden Beach. The tips of the two large, black, feathered wings on her shoulders dragged through the sands, gathering bits of golden stuff. Her icy blue eyes sought out the Unicorn, Atlak. The other unicorn she paid no mind. He was a mortal, and thus deserved no words from her. A deep growl rumbled at the bottom of her throat as she bore down on the Prophet. She was a Prophet as well, but what she was expected to prophesize, she did not know. Atlak knew. Atlak always knew, but he did not tell her. She was sure he had told Chaine as well, but all that really mattered was that he had not told her. Her equally obsidian pelt ruffled in the slight breeze.Chaine landed gracefully on the sands of Golden Beach, only for a second enjoying the texture of the sands against his scales, then he moved forward, his long, golden tail slithering behind her. He stretched his gold, bat-like wings once more efore folding them. As always, he looked at IceFyre with disgust. She unnerved him and annoyed him. He could almost understand how one could harbor such hate, but not quite. Atlak was not quite the same, and thus got along better with him. "Atlak." Chaine greeted him in a rumbling, bass voice. he gave a nod to the mortal Unicorn beside the Prophet as well. [/sup]
